WEATHER ALERT: Flood advisory

The National Weather Service in Binghamton, N.Y., has issued a flood advisory for northern Luzerne County until 4:15 p.m. Monday.

A thunderstorm developed over Sullivan and Wyoming counties that is moving across northern Luzerne County, the NWS reported.

Locations in the flood advisory include Ashley, Courtdale, Dallas, Edwardsville, Forty Fort, Hanover Township, Harveys Lake, Jenkins Township, Larksville, Lehman Township, Luzerne, Plains Township, Pringle, Swoyersville, West Wyoming, Wilkes-Barre, Wilkes-Barre Township and Wyoming.

Heavy rain has been reported with the thunderstorm that will result in minor flooding, the NWS reports.

Most of Luzerne County is under a severe thunderstorm warning until 2:30 p.m.
