    Joseph A. Amico of Elizabeth Street, Pittston, died Monday at Wilkes-Barre
   
General HospitalBorn in Pittston on March 2, 1923, he was the son of the
late Sebastian and Mary Sardo Amico.
   
He graduated from Pittston High School in 1941.
   
He served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II.
   
He was employed as a plumber for Local 524 of the Pipefitters & Plumbing
Local, Scranton.
   
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Bowling League and was a Fourth
Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, Pittston Council 372.
   
Surviving are his wife, the former Celeste Tagliaterra; sons, Ronald and
Joseph, both at home; brothers, Phillip, West Pittston; Sam, Pittston;
Sebastian, Hickory, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Phillip (Frances) Gristina, Pittston;
and several nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday from the Graziano Funeral Home
Inc., 700 Township Blvd., Pittston Township, with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m.
in St. Rocco’s Roman Catholic Church, Pittston.
   
Interment will be in Old Forge Cemetery.
   
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
