Wyoming Area graduation to move up

EXETER – The Wyoming Area School District’s decision to keep graduation on its originally scheduled date brought praise from parents Thursday at the board’s work session.

Meanwhile, the district’s business manager gave a presentation on a preliminary budget for which he said it is too soon to tell whether there will be a tax increase.

Four snow days forced adjustments to the school calendar that bumped the end of the school year to June 15 and moved graduation from June 11, according to Superintendent Ray Bernardi. But after some parents raised concerns with him and with school board members, Bernardi said school officials decided to leave graduation alone for the more than 200 seniors.
