Mr. and Mrs. Edward Turchin, Jackson Township, will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary Aug. 22. They were married Aug. 22, 1964, at St. Casimir’s Church, Lyndwood, by the late Rev. Robert Shilala.
Attendants were Joyce Turchin Rominski, Maureen Cornell Haydt, Evelyn Warrell Klinger, Judy Bukevicz Wachs, the late Greg Rominski, Fred Zoltewicz, the late Ronnie Carlo and Vince Karalunas.
Mrs. Turchin is the former Bonnie Lewis of Upper Askam. She is a retired teacher from Lake-Lehman School District.
Mr. Turchin, formerly of Breslau, is retired from Tobyhanna Army Depot. Both are 1960 graduates of Hanover Memorial High School.
The couple has a daughter, Pamela, Denton, Md., and a son, the late Edward Jr.
Several trips are planned once Edward gets clearance to travel following a recent kidney transplant.
A Mass will be held in their honor at their parish, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Lake Silkworth.
