Edward and Diane Gayeski, Nanticoke, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 24, 2013.
They were married Aug. 24, 1963, by the late Rev. Casimir Gorski in Holy Trinity Church, now St. Faustina Parish, Nanticoke.
Mrs. Gayeski is the daughter of John Marcinkevicz and the late Geneieve (Jean) Marcinkevicz.
Mr. Gayeski is the son of the late Edward and Lillian Gayeski.
Mrs. Gayeski was employed and is now retired from Kraft Foods, Hanover Township. Mr. Gayeski was employed and is now retired from Fairchild Semi-Conductor, Mountain Top.
The couple were invited to the 50th wedding anniversary Mass and celebration with His Excellency Most Rev. Joseph C. Bambera on June 16 at St. Peter’s Cathedral to renew their wedding vows.
They are the parents of two sons, Jeffrey, Raleigh, N.C., and David and his wife, Michelle, New Castle, Del.
They have four grandchildren, Daniel, Allyson, Emily and Maggie.
Mr. and Mrs. Gayeski celebrated the occasion with friends and family with a Mass at St. Faustina Parish followed by a reception and dinner at Maps Restaurant, Nanticoke. The couple also celebrated their anniversary with a cruise to Istanbul, Athens and the Black Sea.
