(AP) Atlanta airport officials say operations are back to normal after an unknown mechanical issue led to a lockdown.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport spokesman Reese McCranie told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that a technical glitch triggered a false alarm Monday afternoon.

Officials have said the glitch led to the airport's underground train and three security checkpoints to being locked down for about 20 minutes.

Additional information on the mechanical malfunction wasn't immediately available.
