(AP) How many more colors can Zoe Saldana be on the big screen?

The actress portrays green-skinned alien Gamora in Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" after going blue in James Cameron's "Avatar." She recently reprised her other space-bound character, Uhura, in JJ Abrams' "Star Trek Into Darkness."

The 35-year-old actress said in an interview at Comic-Con that she's finding more "meaty" female roles in science-fiction than in earthbound movies.

Chris Pratt is among Saldana's co-stars in "Guardians." The movie had been filming for just a few weeks in the U.K. before its actors dropped in to show footage to fans.

Pratt acknowledges comparisons between his character Peter Quill and another iconic interplanetary gunslinger Han Solo. He calls "Guardians" ''a big space opera."
