(AP) Michael Jackson's ex-wife has testified that she did not see any signs that the entertainer was shopping for doctors during the nearly 20 years she was close to him.

Debbie Rowe also told a jury on Thursday that Jackson's frequent medical visits were tied to legitimate procedures.

Rowe is testifying in a negligent hiring lawsuit filed by Jackson's mother against the promoter of her son's planned series of comeback concerts.

Concert promoter AEG Live LLC denies wrongdoing in the case.

Rowe also spoke about the immense pain the entertainer felt while trying to repair damage to his scalp after it was burned while filming a commercial in the early 1980s.

Jackson and Rowe were married from 1996 to 1999 and she accompanied him to many of his medical treatments in the 1980s and 1990s.
