Atty. Michael Dempsey, Co-Chairman of Team Breathe Easy, accepts a “Good Works” certificate from the Lackawanna County Commissioners in recognition of the group’s efforts to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis research and treatment.

The organization’s second annual “Knock-Out Cystic Fibrosis” event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 1 p.m. at the Dunmore Community Center, Monroe Avenue, and feature basket raffles, basketball competitions, food and beverages. A suggested donation of $20 can be made at the door.

Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited chronic lung disease that affects about 30,000 children and adults in the United States.
