(AP) Authorities have released the names of a licensed practical nurse and a resident killed in a shooting at a Pennsylvania nursing home that investigators believe was a murder-suicide committed by the worker.

South Abington Township Police Chief Robert Gerrity says 79-year-old Howard Kinney, of Overfield Township, was killed by a shot to the chest at the Abington Manor nursing home. He says 42-year-old Aimee Larkin, of Dunmore, died of a gunshot to the head.

Gerrity says officials are "at a loss" as to the motive and are investigating.

He says the nurse had worked there since 2011, and the patient had lived there about two years.

Nursing home spokeswoman Jeanne Moore says in a statement that officials are shocked and cooperating with investigators.
