(AP) President Barack Obama is filling his Martha's Vineyard vacation with golf, visits with friends and dinners out with the first lady. But he'll have to wait a bit longer to do something else: spend time with his daughters.

For the first time, Malia and Sasha Obama are missing from family vacation on the coastal Massachusetts island. They're finishing up at summer camp. White House spokesmen say only that they'll join their parents later this week, without giving a specific date.

One sign of the girls' absence is that Obama has yet to drop by the Bunch of Grapes Bookstore in Vineyard Haven. He typically takes them there on his first full day of vacation to pick up summer reading.
