(AP) Oklahoma City University won the NAIA women's golf championship Friday behind a 1-2 finish from Jessica Schiele and Elia Folch.

The Stars finished 12 shots ahead of defending champion British Columbia to win their sixth national title and first since a string of five straight 2005 to 2009.

Schiele finished the 72-hole event at Wilderness Ridge Golf Club at 7-over 295, five shots better than Folch. Schiele is the fourth Oklahoma City player to win the individual title.

Embry-Riddle (Fla.) was third place, followed by Cal State-San Marcos and Lubbock Christian.
