(AP) The Davis Cup's oldest rivalry will be reignited next year after the United States was drawn to meet Britain at home.

The teams met in the first ever Davis Cup tie in 1900, with the Americans going on to win the event a record 32 times.

Wednesday's draw in London also raised the prospect of Roger Federer taking on top-ranked Novak Djokovic after Switzerland was paired with Serbia, which will play the defending champion Czech Republic in the 2013 final in Belgrade on Nov. 15-17.

Also in the world group, it's: Argentina-Italy, Kazakhstan-Belgium, Japan-Canada and Germany-Spain. The ties take place from Jan. 31-Feb. 2,.

Britain is back in the world group for the first time since 2008, with its prospects boosted by the return of Wimbledon champion Andy Murray to the team.
