Helen Dunn, of Stout Street, Yatesville, died Monday at homeBorn and raised
in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Theodora Kaplinski
Shuleski. She attended Plains Township schools.
Before retiring in 1974, she was employed in the garment industry by
Ann-Lee Frocks, Pittston Township.
For the past 17 years, she was Yatesville’s tax collector.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip, in 1977; brothers,
Stanley, Paul, Peter, Gus, Louis, John, Michael and Ignatius.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Elaine) Centi, with whom she
resided; son, Alexander, Kingston; seven grandchildren; 12
great-grandchildren; brother, Chester Shuleski, Parsons; sisters, Rose
Rasomowicz, Carteret, N.J.; Mrs. Joseph (Stella) Cbirski, Wilkes-Barre.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Thursday from the Adonizio Funeral Home Inc.,
251 William St., Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Our
Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
Interment will be in St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston Township.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
