Bob Boyer, 36, of Wyoming, is the recipient of a 20-Year Service Award from
the Wyoming Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross. Boyer was honored at the
Annual Awards and Recognition Banquet held April 27 at the Genetti Hotel &
Convention Center, Wilkes-Barre. He is an associate professor of criminal
justice at Luzerne County Community College and is a Wyoming police officer.
   
Amanda Mylet, a 1998 Crestwood High School graduate, a 1999 Indiana
University of Pennsylvania Academy of Culinary Arts graduate, and a 2001
graduate of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, graduated from the
Indiana University of Pennsylvania on May 10. Mylet graduated summa cum laude
with a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management. Mylet is the
daughter of Mike and Jeanie Mylet.
