COLUMBUS, Ohio — Brittney Thomas scored 19 points, including a basket to trigger an 8-0 run and two clinching free throws in overtime, to lead Michigan State to a 71-68 victory over No. 7 Ohio State on Sunday.

After Ohio State (26-4, 14-3 Big Ten) cut the lead to a point on Samantha Prahalis’ 3-pointer, Thomas hit two foul shots with 15.3 seconds left.

Sarah Schulze’s 3-point attempt with 2 seconds left was short and off the mark.

Lykendra Johnson added 14 points and Kalisha Keane 10 for the Spartans (19-8, 10-6), who have won four in a row and eight of nine.

Jantel Lavender had 24 points and 11 rebounds, Prahalis 17 points and Schulze nine points and 10 rebounds for the Buckeyes, who had already clinched an outright Big Ten title and the top seed in the conference tournament.

No. 8 Duke 71, Maryland 59

DURHAM, N.C. — Karima Christmas scored a career-high 25 points and made two big plays down the stretch to help Duke defeat Maryland.

Christmas shot 7 for 13 from the field, made a career-high four 3-pointers and added four steals for the Blue Devils.

Joy Cheek added 17 points for Duke (23-4, 11-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), which closed the game on a 17-6 run over the final four minutes.

Lori Bjork scored 14 points to lead Maryland (18-9, 5-7), which trailed 36-33 at halftime. Lynetta Kizer had 13 points and 13 rebounds, and Anjale Barrett scored 11 points for the Terrapins.

No. 11 Oklahoma 64, Kansas St. 58

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Nyeshia Stevenson led all scorers with 24 points and Oklahoma overcame a 21-point deficit to defeat Kansas State.

Oklahoma (19-7, 9-3 Big 12) has won four of its last five while Kansas State (12-14, 4-8) has dropped five of six.

Trailing by 16 at the half, it looked as though Oklahoma wouldn’t be able to overcome the Wildcats’ lead. Kansas State opened the half on a 9-4 run to extend its lead to 43-22, but then the Sooners rallied.

A layup by Stevenson ignited a 20-2 run that narrowed the gap to three midway through the half. Oklahoma’s defense stiffened. The Sooners grabbed a 53-51 lead when Carlee Roethlisberger connected on a shot with about four minutes remaining.

No. 16 Kentucky 71 , South Carolina 50

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Forward Victoria Dunlap scored 16 points and guard A’dia Mathies added 10 points and Kentucky finished the regular season unbeaten at home.

The Gamecocks fell behind by 16 at the half, and never threatened in the second half as Kentucky (23-4, 11-3 Southeastern Conference) dominated in front of 7,742 at Memorial Coliseum, the sixth-largest crowd in school history.

South Carolina (13-13, 6-7) shot 32 percent from the floor. Guard Valerie Nainima, who leads South Carolina in scoring at 17.5 points a game, was held to a season-low four points as the Gamecocks dropped their third straight game.

No. 19 Georgia Tech 77, Miami 73

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Brigitte Ardossi scored 27 points, including two free throws with 25 seconds left, and Georgia Tech beat Miami.

Miami had two opportunities to tie or take the lead after Ardossi’s free throws, but the Hurricanes (16-11, 3-9 ACC) twice committed turnovers.

Deja Foster converted two free throws with 1.1 left to secure the Yellow Jackets a regular season sweep. Georgia Tech (21-7, 7-5) also defeated the Hurricanes 80-73 on Jan. 21.

Florida 64, No. 20 Georgia 57

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Steffi Sorensen tied a career high with 20 points, Jordan Jones scored 12 and Sharielle Smith added 11 points and Florida upset Georgia.

The Gators (14-13, 7-7 Southeastern Conference) had lost their last three games, all against ranked opposition, by an average of 35 points before knocking off the Bulldogs for only the second time in the past 13 meetings.

Florida led by 14 in the second half, but went without a field goal for the final 8:49 and earned the win by hitting 22 of 29 from the free throw line down the stretch.

Georgia (20-7, 7-7) shot 42.3 percent from the field and cut the deficit to four with 29 seconds left, but had a turnover and a missed jump shot on its last two possessions.

No. 25 Vanderbilt 68, Mississippi 59

OXFORD, Miss. — Jence Rhoads scored 19 points and Vanderbilt beat Mississippi for its first win in Oxford since 2003.

The Commodores (19-8, 8-6 Southeastern Conference) had lost two of their last three. But Rhoads hurt the Rebels by scoring 10 of Vanderbilt’s last 19 points as the Commodores pulled away from a 49-49 tie for the victory in a game Ole Miss (15-12, 6-8) led for long stretches.

Vanderbilt used a 13-4 run to take a 62-53 lead with 3:12 left and was never threatened after that.

Bianca Thomas led Ole Miss with 23 points. Kayla Melson added 17 points and five assists, while Kayla Holloway scored 13 points with eight rebounds.
