    Mary R. Bucany, 96, of Madie Avenue, Spotswood, N.J., died Friday at
homeBorn July 2, 1897, in Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of the late
Michael and Rose Kuracina Gabriel. She came to this country as a young girl,
settling in New York City.
   
She later resided in Plymouth and Wilkes-Barre, where she resided for
several years. She moved to New Jersey eight years ago. She attended school in
Czechoslovakia.
   
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood, N.J.; and was
also a member of St. Stephen’s Church, Plymouth.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, August, Aug. 17, 1979.
   
Surviving are a daughter, Sidonia Bialek, with whom she resided; two
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Stephanie Shultz, Dallas;
several nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the S.J. Grontkowski
Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at
9:30 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Church, Plymouth.
   
Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Lehman.
   
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
   
The rosary will be recited Monday afternoon with the Very Rev. John Fabian,
pastor, officiating.
