Marion Lazarus

Marion Ruth Lazarus, of North Bridge Street, Tunkhannock, died Monday at
the
Geisinger Medical Center, DanvilleBorn Dec. 9, 1908, in Tunkhannock
Township, Wyoming County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lottie
Sturdevant Ace.
She graduated from Tunkhannock High School in 1925, and the Mansfield
Normal School in 1927.
She taught school in several Wyoming County schools, including the
Tunkhannock Area School District.
She attended Tunkhannock United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Russell B. Ace, in 1989.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Thomas F. Lazarus; a son, William C.
Lazarus, Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter, Barbara Benson, Tunkhannock; two
grandsons.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral
Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with the Rev. Dr. Raymond Howe, pastor of
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
Friends may call from noon until service time Friday.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
