    J. Lloyd Drake, 91, of West Eighth Street, Wyoming, died Monday at
Geisinger
   
Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains TownshipBorn Sept. 25, 1905 in
Mehoopany, he was the son of the late Hamilton and Isabell Burgess Drake.
   
He resided in Upper Darby for several years before moving to Wyoming 19
years ago.
   
He graduated from Tunkhannock High School in 1924 and received a bachelor
of arts degree from Penn State University in 1928.
   
Before retiring in 1975, he was employed as a director by the Y.M.C.A. in
Berwick, Scranton, Freeland and Philadelphia. He was previously employed as a
school teacher by Dallas Township for 16 years.
   
He was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church, Methodist Men, and
Live Wire Club.
   
He was preceded in death by brothers, Frank, Wilfred, Howard, Worthy and
Claude; a sister, Flora.
   
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, the former Kate P. Parrish; a son, Dale
L., Pottstown; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday from the Metcalfe & Shaver
Funeral Home, Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with the Rev. Michael Shambora,
his pastor, officiating.
   
Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Park, Carverton, Kingston Township.
   
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today.
