WILKES-BARRE — City police reported the following:


• Eva Awuah of North Sherman Street reported Monday an unknown person entered her residence and removed an Apple Ipad.


• An employee at Rocky’s Trading Post on South Main Street reported Monday the business was burglarized. A DVR for the security camera was stolen, the cash register was smashed open and watches, computers, tools, pellet guns, swords and cell phones were stolen.


WILKES-BARRE — City police reported the following:


• Eva Awuah reported that someone broke into her home at 125 N. Sherman St. sometime between 4:10 and 5 p.m. Monday and stole an Apple iPad.


• Someone broke into Rocky’s Trading Post, 253 S. Main St., sometime before 10 a.m. Monday and stole money, watches, computers, tools, BB guns, swords and cell phones along with the DVR from the security surveillance system. An investigation continues.


• Patricia Lumia, of 261 N. Main St., reported on Monday morning that she found the front and rear doors of her residence open and that someone had taken her refrigerator and stove. An investigation continues.


• A resident of 70 Wyoming St. returned home early Sunday morning and found the rear door unlocked, a window in the rear of the residence open and a Sony PlayStation, three laptop computers and jewelry stolen. An investigation continues.


• Chris Hayward, 27, was arrested and charged with domestic violence simple assault after police were called to the residence of his father, Tom Hayward, at 219 Gardner Ave., at about 12:45 a.m. Sunday and observed the younger Hayward allegedly assault his father, causing the elder Hayward facial injury, police said.


• Police are looking for a vehicle they say a man stole from his grandmother.


Police say Damien Yanora took his grandmother’s vehicle and told her on Saturday that he would give it back if she gave him $30. The victim gave him $30, but he left without giving her the vehicle back, police said.


The vehicle is a silver 2001 Buick LeSabre bearing Pennsylvania registration plate DZA7936. Anyone with information should call police at 570-826-8106 or via 911.


• Police stopped what they described as “a suspicious vehicle” leaving the Sherman Hills apartment complex on Dec. 18 and found the occupants were allegedly in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. Police charged Courtney Gruver, of Tunkhannock, and Karen Wilson, of Meshoppen, in the incident.


KINGSTON —Municipal police reported the following:


• Just after midnight on Thursday, officer Robert Miller stopped a vehicle for careless driving. As a result, a juvenile male was detained and petitioned to juvenile court for possession with the intent to deliver narcotics, firearms not to be carried without a license, receiving stolen property of a firearm and possession of a firearm as a minor.


The juvenile was lodged in a juvenile detention center to await a hearing in juvenile court.
