PLYMOUTH — Borough police are searching for a suspect in a home invasion that occurred Saturday at a Main Street apartment.
The victims said a black male, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds, wearing a black lettered jacket and a purple hat, kicked in the door to their residence at 318 E. Main St. at about 11:07 p.m.
A male victim reported that the suspect struck him in the head with the barrel of a black shotgun, held the barrel of the gun to the back of the victim’s head and demanded his cell phone.
A female victim told police she handed the suspect three cell phones and he ran from the residence, headed in an unknown direction.
Through the course of an investigation, police learned that the suspect is known in the neighborhood as “Ty” and that he frequently visits multiple people in the 300 and 400 blocks of East Main Street.
Anyone with knowledge of “Ty” or of the home invasion should call police at 570-779-2147 or stop in the police station, located at 162 W. Shawnee Ave., Plymouth.
HANOVER TWP. — Township police are investigating a burglary that occurred at about 4 a.m. Monday on Boland Avenue.
Police said a male wearing a light-color hooded sweatshirt and a mask forced his way through the rear door of a residence and fled with the victim’s purse. The victim and two other occupants in the residence were not injured.
The suspect was last seen running north on the Alley between Boland Avenue and Lee Park Avenue.
An accomplice wearing a dark-color hooded sweatshirt was observed in the alley during the incident.
