Murder suspect arrested in W. Hazleton

An illegal immigrant accused of stabbing to death the brother of a New York City police officer was found in West Hazleton early this morning.

Mejia Cinta, 19, was found inside a home on Roosevelt Street, state Trooper James Surmick said.

Cinta was taken into custody and later waived extradition back to New York to face second-degree murder charges.
