DUNMORE — After calling Scranton home for the past 11 years, Tom Hesser Nissan recently moved to a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Dunmore.

With a sleek, modern look, the 29,000-square-foot facility features a five-acre lot, extended hospitality and customer lounge areas, an expanded parts department and a showroom three times the size as that of previous 6,000-square-foot location.

Located just off Interstate 81 on the O’Neill Highway, the dealership features top of the line equipment and a multiple express bays all designed to improve the time and quality of service.

“The relationships with our customers are what drive us,” Tom Hesser Automotive President Dean Hesser said.

“Our overarching goal of the new dealership is to provide an unmatched customer experience, whether browsing or shopping for a vehicle or stopping in for a routine service check.”

The dealership relocated July 1 after the previous location grew too small to house the expanding business.

“We enjoyed our time in Scranton, but with the new dealership’s amenities, coupled with the ease of accessibility from Interstate 81, we could not be more excited about what the future holds,” Hesser said.

Hesser added that the process of finding the right landing spot wasn’t one that occurred overnight, but rather one that took 10 years and spanned several potential locations.

Previously, employees would often spend unnecessary time tracking down cars that were scattered about four holding lots, Hesser said. Now, the entire inventory can be displayed.

“We were able to double if not triple our capacity,” Hesser said.

The added space is just one reason the move is geared toward improved customer service.

The dealership now offers express service that means to get customers in and out within 25 minutes or less, Hesser said. In addition to oil changes, Tom Hesser Nissan will offer small jobs such as tire and brake repairs.

“We’re trying to give customers the best experience we can give them, and this new facility lets us do that and do it well,” Hesser said.
