Edward Donald Yale, 67, of Orange, died September 29, 2008 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He had fought a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Oct. 2, 1940, in Plains, he was a son of the late Harry and Ruth Rodney Yale. A graduate of Plains High School, Class of 1959, he was employed for Diamond Manufacturing in West Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Albert and Samuel Yale.
Surviving are his wife, the former Joan Butkiewicz, with whom he celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on Aug. 8, 2008; children Edward Donald Yale and his wife, Ann, Centermoreland; Susan Bielecki, Trucksville; Randolph Yale, Kunkle; Sharon McCue and her husband, Sean, Noxen; grandchildren Justine and Peter Paul Bielecki; Connor, Natalie, Katie and Ian McCue; Brandi Lynn Yale; brothers Harry Yale, Fox Hill, Plains Twp.; Thomas Yale and his wife, Joan Yale, Johnson City, NY; Elmer Yale, Lake Louise, Dallas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held. Arrangements are by E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.
