OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Cross Creek Community Church, 370 Carverton Road, will be a relay center, collecting gift-filled shoe boxes again this year for Operation Christmas Child.
Operation Christmas Child, the world’s largest Christmas project, brings joy and hope to needy children around the world through these gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love.
Shoe boxes may be dropped off at the church between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18 through Friday, Nov. 22, from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 23 and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19 and Thursday, Nov. 21. For more information, call the church office at 570-696-0399.
THANKSGIVING DINNER AT SUMC
A “Free Thanksgiving Dinner” event will be held at noon on Thursday, Nov. 28 at the Shavertown United Methodist Church, 163 N. Pioneer Ave., Shavertown.
Reservations are needed by Monday, Nov. 25 by calling the church office at 570-675-3616.

HOAGIES AT HUMC
The Huntsville United Methodist Church, 1233 Huntsville Road, Shavertown, will sell 8-inch Italian, turkey, veggie, ham and cheese and roast beef hoagies for $5 each. Chips and a soda may be added for an extra $1.
Orders must be placed by Nov. 24 by calling 570-477-3748. Pick up will be between 10 a.m. and noon on Sunday, Dec. 1.
CRAFT FAIR SET
A Christmas Craft Fair will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Fellowship Church, 45 Hildebrandt Road, Dallas.
Several local craft vendors will be on hand as will items from Pampered Chef and Scentsy, photography, wreaths, woodwork, jewelry and more.
‘THE GIFT’ TRADITION CONTINUES
The tradition of “The Gift,” a live Christmas program, will continue this year at the Back Mountain Harvest Assembly, 340 Carverton Road, Trucksville. The program is scheduled for 6 and 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13 and Saturday, Dec. 14; and 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15. For more information, call the church at 570-696-1128.
