Mary Kolessar, dean of the Middle School at Wyoming Seminary, and Dawn Leas, director of Lower School Admission, recently announced students have received Lower School Merit Scholarships for the 2009-2010 school year. Recipients are Erica Fletcher, fifth grade, Hanover Twp.; Connor McGowan, fifth grade, Pittston; Stefan Olsen, sixth grade, Waverly; and Alexandra Zaloga, sixth grade, Moosic. Recipients were chosen on the basis of a competitive exam administered on Feb. 7. Each award recipient receives half-tuition merit-based scholarships.
