WILKES-BARRE — The King’s College men’s tennis team advanced seven singles players and four doubles teams to the semifinals of the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships after the opening day of action Saturday at Kirby Park and Ralston Courts.


Singles players include George Parkhurst, Stephen Brand, Tony Bevevino, Jake Rohring, Chris DiMino, Andrew Panzitta and Ryan Hegarty


Doubles are the teams of Parkhurst and Brand, Bevevino and Rohring, DiMino and Panzitta and Brandon Franklin and Tyler Tuck.


COLLEGE MENS CROSS COUNTRY


King’s places ninth


King’s College placed ninth in the DeSales University Invitational.


T.J. Ferguson was the top finisher among the field of 276 runners with a time of 27:45:04 in the 5-mile event. Mitchell Ford was 59th and Tim Lambert crossed 61st.


COLLEGE WOMENS CROSS COUNTRY


King’s places 17th


King’s College placed 17th in the 22-team field and was paced by freshman Marissa Durako, who was 11th among the field of 248 runners with a time of 24:19.21 in the 4-mile event.


Alexandra Evangelista was 86th and Lauren Aldan was 188th.


COLLEGE MENS SOCCER


King’s 4, Delaware Valley 2


King’s College men’s earned a victory over host Delaware Valley College.


Andrew Tuminello, Daniel Hernandez and Mike Smart found the each scored for the Monarchs.


Misericordia 3, Manhattanville 0


Misericordia University improved to 9-3 by defeating visiting Manhattanville College.


Nick vonEgypt, TJ Schaeffer and Parker McArdle each scored for the Cougars.
