CLARKS GREEN- The Clarks Green Borough council met April 17 and Councilman Allan Hughes mentioned that he was contacted by Denny McGraw, Regional Vice President of C Group Energy Services, concerning a presentation made at the April Abington Council of Governments meeting.

Hughes suggested that McGraw visit Clarks Green Borough council to discuss the presentation regarding the use of C Group Energy Services to find a more affordable energy provider. President Keith Williams, who was present at the ACOG meeting, said, “I think it’s worth looking into.” He also mentioned that C Group would not charge a fee to look for alternate providers. Council agreed to send an invitation McGraw.

Council approved annual servicing of the traffic light for $248.

Members continued discussion on a newsletter to be sent to residents quarterly with the hopes of having the first one released next month.

Members heard an update concerning work on the turf field and parking lot at the Abington Area Community Park, which should be completed soon. The parking lot is ready to be paved.
