At a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Dallas, the theme for the evening was raising funds and food to help the Back Mountain Food Pantry meet the needs of dozens of families for the holidays and the cold winter months to come. Rev. Roger Griffith, president of the board of directors of the Back Mountain Food Pantry, was the guest speaker and informed the group that more than 200 families will be served this year with baskets of food for Thanksgiving. To support that effort, the Rotarians held an auction and raffle with prizes donated by club members. More than $750 was raised and more than 400 pounds of food was donated.
