Wyoming Area Catholic School recently held its annual Scholastic Book Fair. During the week of the fair, the students participated in a contest, Vote for Your Favorite Book Fair-Oh. Each homeroom teacher had themselves pictured as an Egyptian pharaoh and students were encouraged to donate their change for their favorite. The teacher who collected the most change earned a dress-down day for their class. The money collected through this contest, along with a basket of books, was donated to St. Joseph’s Center in Dunmore. The sixth-grade class was the winner of the contest. A representative from that grade presented a check to Sister Mary Alice. From left: Matthew Maciejczyk, third grade; Sister Mary Alice; Tessa Romani, sixth grade; and Theresa Sabetta, librarian.
