Active Adult Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. Donations from participants are gratefully accepted and needed in order to expand this program.


The following is the menu for the week of Jan. 20:


MONDAY: Center closed – Martin Luther King holiday


TUESDAY: Roast turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, whole wheat dinner roll, pumpkin pudding, margarine, milk and coffee.


WEDNESDAY: Eggplant parmesan, whole wheat pasta, steamed garlic broccoli, whole wheat bread, orange, margarine, milk and coffee.


THURSDAY: Swedish meatballs, sugar snap peas, buttered noodles, whole wheat bread, tropical fruit, margarine, milk and coffee.


FRIDAY: Barbeque pork chop, mashed potatoes, succotash, whole wheat dinner roll, Black Forest pudding, margarine, milk and coffee.
