KINGSTON: The Kingston Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Due to a scheduling conflict, this month’s meeting will be held at the Kingston Borough Building, Council chambers, 500 Wyoming Avenue.

Guest speaker will be Michael Blessing who will discuss the history of Kingston Corners and the surrounding area. Major changes have taken place in this area over the years, especially since the flood of 1972. Anyone with photos or memorabilia of Kingston Corners is invited to bring them to the meeting for display.

A membership campaign is underway. Dues are $10 per year. If interested in joining, or for more information, contact Joe Grimes, vice president, at PO Box 1702, Kingston, PA 18704, or attend a meeting. Meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Kingston Fire Hall meeting room, Sharpe Street entrance.
