The Center for Cancer Wellness, Candy’s Place received $1,210 during the Cabaret for Cancer, an event that took place on Dec. 30 at the River Street Jazz Cafe in Plains Township. The event included a buffet dinner accompanied with music by the Wyoming Seminary Jazz Quartet and was followed by family entertainment. A late night menu was offered later in the evening while audience members enjoyed entertainment from adults and older teen performers. The event was sponsored by the Harvey and Major families, the River Street Jazz Cafe, the Major Performing Arts Center of Dallas and the Sue Bruno Hair Salon of Plains Township. All proceeds received during the Cabaret for Cancer, a biannual event, benefit Candy’s Place.
