Olivia Zehel wins women’s Commission Bookmark Contest

Olivia Zehel a student at West Scranton Intermediate School, won the 2014 Lackawanna County Women’s Commission Bookmark contest with her design recognizing the efforts of Mother Mary Germaine O’Neill, who founded Marywood University.


Mother O’Neill’s passion was to provide young women with the opportunity to attend college. Her determination helped to shape the lives and careers of thousands of women. In 2015, Marywood will celebrate 100 years of educational excellence, thanks to Mother O’Neill.
