“Warming up NEPA, one cup of soup at a time,” a new initiative of episcopalRELIEFnepa, is bringing the comfort of a free cup of hot, homemade soup and companionship to a second location. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, all are welcome to enjoy a free cup of soup in the parking lot of the Episcopal Church of St. Clement and St. Peter on Hanover Street in Wilkes-Barre. Sponsored by Trinity Episcopal Church of West Pittston, episcopalRELIEFnepa is a regional effort to reach out to the community and offer a simple meal and opportunity for conversation. A totally mobile effort, “Warming up NEPA” uses pop-up tents and portable tables and chairs to serve the meal in areas where people can enjoy and benefit from an opportunity to gather. For more information, visit episcopalreliefnepa.org, stclementstpeter.org, email [email protected] or call 570-335-7875.
