Church Women United of Wyoming Valley (CWU of WV) are sponsoring the 66th annual Interfaith Tea at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, at Shavertown United Methodist Church, 163 N. Pioneer Ave., Shavertown. The annual tea promotes fellowship and understanding among all faiths. This year it is hosted by the CWU of WV Valley, assisted by the women of Shavertown United Methodist Church. The theme is ‘Threads of Prayer’ and Cathy Berkey is the guest speaker. Entertainment will be announced. Charlotte Ruck, chairperson of the lap robe committee, CWU of WV, assisted by her son James, will display donated lap robes to be distributed to various nursing facilities and home-bound persons.
