Bishop Joseph C. Bambera recently presented students from throughout the diocese with the Bishop’s Youth Award at a special liturgy and awards ceremony at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Scranton. This award was developed by the Office for Parish Life and the Office for Catholic Schools. It is the highest recognition offered to Catholic youth in the diocese. Thirteen eighth-grade students from St. Jude School, Mountain Top, qualified to receive the award. The students were recognized for their exemplary practice of faith and their commitment to service in parishes and schools.
