MMI Preparatory School students Anirban Chowdhury and William Bower both placed second in the Cedar Crest Biology Olympics. Chowdhury, a sophomore and the son of Bhaskar and Saumitri Chowdhury, Hazle Township, was second in ecology. Bower, a junior and the son of Dr. Kathy Young, Sugarloaf, and Philip Bower, Emmitsburg, Maryland, was the runner-up in cell biology. A pool of 90 participants competed in this year’s event. Students participated in various scholastic events that included a scavenger hunt, tests and trivia. From left, are Bower and Chowdhury.
