The Luzerne-Wyoming Counties Mental Health & Developmental Services (MH&DS) announces its second annual Celebration of Abilities at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, at the Dietrich Theater, Tunkhannock. The event recognizes individuals with intellectual disabilities, employers and citizens representing Wyoming County. The celebration is open to all. No registration is needed. Refreshments will be served followed by a ceremony. Dean Search, Karen Frey and William (B.J.) Reidenbach will be recognized for their inspiring journeys. The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Keystone Community Resources, Inc. and Kathy Pohlman, providers of service to persons with special needs, will also be honored. Entertainment will be provided by the Jazz Band of Tunkhannock Area High School. David Wilson, chairman of the MH&DS Advisory Board, representing Wyoming County, will be the master of ceremonies.
