Graham Academy students recently presented marigolds to their mothers for Mother’s Day. The marigolds were grown in the classroom over an eight-week period and the students monitored and cared for them daily. The Graham Academy is a school for students K-12 living with autism and for children with emotional challenges. The marigold Mother’s Day project is a continuation of the Graham Garden, a resource The Graham Academy uses to take their students’ academics beyond the classroom and into an educational and multi-sensory outdoor learning environment. For more information on the academy, contact Nick Ouellette at 570-283-0641 or [email protected]. or visit thegrahamacademy.com. Giving his mother, Francine, a marigold is Graham Academy student Michael Hogan.
