PLYMOUTH: The Past Matrons and Past Patrons Association of Wyoming Valley will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at Happy Pizza, 40 W. Main Street. President Jan Jacobus will preside. A business meeting and program will take place after dinner. Wyoming 1 is hosting the event and Carolyn Jenkes is chairman. There will be no meeting in May. Reservations are needed and can be made by calling one of the following chapter reservation chairpersons, Deb Koch, Wyoming 1; Jane Thomas, Harmony 58; Marge Swanek, Wilkes-Barre 90; Mary Ellen Heinz, Mayflower 107; Lois Dunn, Nanticoke 174; and Hope Beisel, Dallas 396.


WILKES-BARRE: The Italian American Association of Luzerne County is holding a dinner meeting on April 18. Arrival time is 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $25 per person. Music for dancing will be provided by Danny Argo and Friends until 10:15 p.m. Reservation deadline is April 12. For reservations call Judy Deice at 654-7600 or Louise Castellani at 654-6454.


WILKES-BARRE: A special fundraiser will be held for Ron Felton, president of the Wilkes-Barre NAACP, from 5-9 p.m. on April 10 at the Genetti Hotel and Conference Center. Donation is $10. Felton suffered an injury in November and is still recovering at home with the assistance of physical therapy.


WYOMING: The Wyoming Recreation Board sponsored its annual Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. on March 24 in the Flack Field Recreational Complex across from the Midway Shopping Center. Approximately 300 children attended the event. Grand-prize winners received a bicycle and participants were offered a candy treat from the Easter Bunny.


Jeanne Wisnewski was the event chair and John Bolin is the president of the Recreation Board.
