Walter Bennett’s Bucyrus-Monighan 10W steam shovel model was recently donated to Penn State Wilkes-Barre. The miniature Bucyrus-Monighan 10W is used in a simulated 12 foot by 13 foot strip mine and will be put to good use at the Penn State campus for students interested in the engineering fields. Students will have to opportunity to learn from the model and its electrical setup and to modernize it. At the presentation, from left: Dr. Charles Davis, chancellor, Penn State Wilkes-Barre; Bennett; and Robert Faux, senior instructor of engineering.
