    MDRVThrough the Years event held
   
The Luzerne/Wyoming Counties Area Agency on Aging in conjunction with
Maternal and Family Health Services and the Wilkes-Barre City Health
Department, sponsored an intergenerational program called “Through the
Years” at the Farmer’s Market on Public Square, Wilkes-Barre, Aug. 14.

NewSeasons at Tiffany Court Assisted Living Community was host to a
luncheon and a tour for the members of the Chamber of Commerce Visitation

MDRVRSVP welcomes 10 new volunteers
   
Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of the Area Agency on Aging for
Luzerne/Wyoming Counties welcomed 10 new volunteers. Each volunteer received a
RSVP lapel pin. Joe Giebus and John Gallagher, RSVP field coordinators, and
Anne Rappaport, RSVP director, conducted the orientation and pinning. RSVP
volunteers serve in non-profit community agencies, schools, libraries,
hospitals, nursing homes, senior centers and whenever or wherever needed.
Anyone 55 and older can volunteer by calling 822-1158 for more information.
RSVP is currently recruiting reading tutors for children and adults, delivery
of meals to homebound seniors, peer counselors and ombudsman program. New
volunteers are, seated from left: Agnes Savitiski, Lillian Teitelbaum, Pat
