FAKE HONORS STUDENT

HARRISBURG — A 23-year-old Ukrainian man accused of faking his name and age while attending a Pennsylvania high school and having sex with an underage girl was denied lower bail during a brief hearing Tuesday. By Mark Scolforo. SENT: About 360 words.

CHICAGO — Nationally syndicated radio host Doug Banks, a longtime fixture in Chicago radio and television, died early Monday at age 57. Banks, in addition to working for WVAZ-FM, appeared for more than 10 years on the news feature show “190 North” on WLS-TV, an ABC affiliate in Chicago. SHOT IN CAR— Police say a man was found shot to death inside a car parked on a West Philadelphia street.

PHILADELPHIA SCHOOLS-TEACHERS — School officials say that with just two months left in the academic year, more than 100 teaching vacancies remain across the Philadelphia School District
