Senior Citizens Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. Donations from participants are gratefully accepted and needed in order to expand this program.

The following is the menu for the week of Sept. 9, 2013:

MONDAY: Baked fish, dilled baby carrots, potatoes au gratin, whole wheat dinner roll, tartar sauce, ketchup, orange, brownie, margarine, milk and coffee.

TUESDAY: Pork BBQ (BBQ on side), vegetable soup, coleslaw, whole wheat sandwich roll, raspberry peach gelatin, margarine, milk and coffee.

WEDNESDAY: Swiss steak, gravy, parmesan potatoes, lima beans, whole wheat dinner roll, peach, margarine, milk and coffee.

THURSDAY: Active Aging Day special - Sliced ham and turkey with American cheese on marble rye with lettuce, tomato, mustard, mayonnaise, carrot salad, Doritos, peach and cream SS cup, margarine, milk and coffee.

FRIDAY: Meatloaf, lentil soup and crackers, mashed potatoes, broccoli and carrots, whole wheat bread, diced pineapple, margarine, milk and coffee.
