The Klingeses

Francis Timothy and Kathleen Klinges, Wilkes-Barre, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married Oct. 3, 1953, at St. Patrick’s Church, Wilkes-Barre, by the Rev. Maurice Hughes.

Maid of honor was Barbara Cooney, sister of the bride. Best man was Andrew Klinges, brother of the groom.

Mrs. Klinges is the former Kathleen Munley, daughter of the late James and Catherine Carey Munley.

Mr. Klinges is the son of the late Francis and Mary Mulherin Klinges.

They have nine children, Joseph, DMD, Malvern; Terry Wells, Parrish, Fla.; Timothy, Wilkes-Barre; Kathleen, Harding; Mark, Plains Township; Kevin, Wilkes-Barre; Kerry, Dallas; Beth Ann, Plains Township; and Gary, Harding.

They have 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

An anniversary Mass was held at St. Patrick’s Church, Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. James McGahagan officiating. A dinner, in their honor, was hosted by their children and spouses at Andy’s Diner, Plains Township.
