Hanover Area holding homecoming festivities

Homecoming for Hanover Area School District has been set for Friday. Students will be participating in a week of spirit activities which will culminate with a parade starting at 5:30 p.m. and proceeding through the Lee Park section of Hanover Township and the crowning of the 2013 Homecoming Queen in ceremonies held prior to the Hanover Area versus Meyers football game at 7 p.m. A community pep rally will take place at 6 tonight in the football stadium, weather permitting. All varsity fall sports teams, the marching band, cheerleaders and the Homecoming Court will be introduced. The evening activities will conclude with a dance from 7-10 p.m. and the selection of a Bonfire King. Homecoming Queen finalists selected by the senior class, from left, first row, are Mary Wychock.
