LEHMAN TWP.: The Penn State Wilkes-Barre Alumni Constituent Society and Penn State Wilkes-Barre students are offering a bus trip to University Park to walk in the annual homecoming parade on Friday. The bus will depart from the Penn State Wilkes-Barre gym parking lot at 1 p.m., returning to campus around midnight. All ages are invited to attend to show their Penn State pride. The trip costs $15 per person and includes bus transportation, T-shirt and dinner. Seating is limited and a sellout is expected.
The Penn State Wilkes-Barre Alumni Constituent Society is hosting its annual TV Tailgate Party for Penn State fans in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The party is scheduled for Penn State’s match-up against the Minnesota Golden Gophers. It boasts tailgate-style food and drinks, a halftime raffle and a 50-50 drawing. The party gets underway half an hour before the game’s kickoff at the River Grille in Wilkes-Barre and wraps up a half hour after the game ends. Official game time has not yet been released but it will either be a noon or 3:30 p.m. start. Cost per person is $28 and all attendees must be 21 or older. This event has always been a sellout. Reserve your tickets early.
