The Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne-Wyoming Counties, in partnership with the Luzerne-Wyoming County Library System, is offering a variety of educational and recreational programs for members of the community who are 50 plus years of age. A Library Orientation Day was held on Sept. 19 at eight local libraries in Luzerne and Wyoming Counties. Members of the Area Agency on Aging Active Adult Centers and the community participated in the sessions. Events included tours of the library, free library card registrations and discussions on programs of interest to be held at Area Agency on Aging Active Adult Centers and local libraries. Contact local Active Adult Center for more details and upcoming classes. Visit the Area Agency on Aging website for contact information and center locations. Members of the Falls and Tunkhannock Active Adult Centers who participated in the program at the Tunkhannock Library, from left, are Carolyn Mostek, Norma Talbot, Warren Keller, Flo Keyes and Becky Murley.
