Joan Harris Dancers’ Annual Halloween Spooktacular will be held Saturday, Oct. 19 and Sunday, Oct. 20 at the E. L. Meyers High School Auditorium, Wilkes-Barre.


he production, titled “Tricks and Treats and Dancing Feet” will feature over 200 dancers from the Back Mountain communities. The total cast of the shows, nearly 500, come from all across Northeastern Pennsylvania and they will be performing a wide variety of ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop dances all set in a musical motif for the holiday.


Every year, the Joan Harris Dancers include a special dance set in their “spooktacular” and for this performance the group has decided to produce a dance treatment to the classic “Peter and the Wolf.”


Productions are scheduled for noon and 4 p.m. on Oct. 19 and a 2 p.m. matinee on Oct. 20. Tickets are $10 in advance. For more information, call 570-287-7977.
